The Life Science and Engineering (LS&E) Infrastructure Center was established in a joint effort by the Lorry I. Lokey Interdisciplinary Center for Life Sciences and Engineering and the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) to provide researchers from diverse disciplines of Life Science and Engineering a state-of-the-art Infrastructure Center.
The main aim of the Center is to provide state-of-the-art Instruments and service to researchers from diverse disciplines, such as: biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, food engineering, material engineering, and physics among others. The Center serves researchers from the Technion, as well as other academic institutes and the industry.
The Center offers cutting edge instrumentation in the fields of microscopy and imaging, flow cytometry and next generation sequencing, providing researchers with high-end equipment as well as support services.
The available equipment in each unit is described under Systems.
The LS&E Infrastructure Center is operated by staff that trains researchers on the various instruments and helps conduct the experiments.
Workstations are available for further imaging and flow analysis.
