Welcome to the Technion LS & E Infrastructure Unit
The Life Sciences and Engineering Infrastructure Unit was established jointly by The Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) and The Lorry I. Lokey Interdisciplinary Center for Life Sciences and Engineering.
The main aim of the Unit is to provide state-of-the-art Instruments and to serve researchers from diverse disciplines, such as biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, food engineering, material engineering, physics and more. The Unit serves researchers from the Technion, as well as other academic institutes and industry.
The Unit currently includes a Microscopy Unit, Flow Cytometry Unit, Next Generation Sequencing Unit, Histology Unit, an In Vivo Imaging Unit and a Biological-Sample Preparation Area for Electron Microscopy.
The available equipment in each Unit is described under "Instruments".
Users receive full training in each of the instruments. Workstations are available for further imaging and flow analysis.
The Life Sciences and Engineering Infrastructure Unit is currently housed in the Faculty of Biology and will move into the new Emerson Life Science Building upon completion.
Please contact us for any other information, questions, requests and ordering.
